FOTD and Mascara Love!

Hi Everyone!
It's a humid Saturday here! Hope you are all enjoying the weather and using sunscreen!

Notice the extra baby curls and frizz? That's the humidity talking.. haha! *Also note, this is after wearing my makeup for 6 hours and going for a walk in the crazy heat!* Anyway, here's my face of the day! I am wearing:

Murad Oil Control Mattifer with SPF 15, Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 in Warm Radiance (Sephora 100 point perk), MUFE HD Powder, Bobbi Brown Corrector and Concealer, BB long-wear cream shadow in Moonstone, BB creamy eye pencil in Caviar, NARS Laguna Bronzer, MAC msf in Smooth Merge, BB powder blush in Slopes, Dior Extase Mascara for length and MAC Opulash for thickening! (I also used NARS lipgloss in Chihuahua, but I didn't but it back on before taking this picture)

I'm just going to say I loved the end result on this look!  I thought it had the right amount of sparkle, great blush color, and I looked like I was wearing false lashes! Just look at this close up of my eyes:
I mean, WOWZA!!! I loved the way these two mascaras worked together!

Also, you probably can't see the Moonstone color very well because I had to use my computer to take the picture since my camera is dead. I am loving Bobbi's new summer beach club collection! You should check it out!

What are you currently wearing? Anyone using two mascaras to thicken and lengthen like I am? Have you tried Opulash or Bobbi's Beach Club yet?

Sephora by OPI-Gold Nails

Last week when I went to the mall with my mom, I picked up a few things from Sephora. I have been using OPI a lot, and figured why not give the Sephora by OPI a chance. So I picked up two golds, one is a metallic called "Charge It!" and the other is a glitter called "Only Gold For Me"

This picture doesn't do them justice... They look really nice in person! I used two coats of Charge It and topped it off with about 3 coats of Only Gold For Me. I did place the glitter in some places that I missed, but overall I think the finished look came out great. Check it out:

(ps-both pictures were taken with a flash)

I think this are going to be hot for summer! What are you summer nail polish pairings?

May Favorites... a little late!

Hi Everyone!
So I took a picture of my May favorites, but forgot to put one thing in the picture! It is the MAC Paint Pot in Painterly. I use this under most of my eyeshadows as a base or primer. It keeps the shadow on allllllll dayyyyy longggg and does not crease! Sometimes I use it alone with just a simple sweep of eyeliner and it looks very classic and pretty.

From the picture (L-R):

  1. OPI Nail Envy in Matte--just a nice base coat and strengthener I've been using a lot
  2. Bobbi Brown perfume in Beach--ahhhhh I LOVE spraying this in a room and wearing it!
  3. Bobbi Brown pot rouge in Pink Raspberry--I know it's discontinued but I love this color!
  4. NAR Sheer Matte foundation (color is ceylan)-This is my go-to foundation! I am loving the formula and the way it looks on my skin!
  5. NARS bronzer in Laguna--so pretty and so summery, need I say more?
  6. Philosophy's Hope in a Jar--best moisturizer ever! I love the whipped formula and it works great, even on my combination skin!
  7. Dior's Diorshow Extase mascara--I got this super sample from sephora online. I had no idea what I was about to get because this puts your lashes on steroids haha
  8. MUFE High Definition Powder--omg! This stuff is great to keep your face matte all day and feels sooooo smooth! It doesn't change the color of your foundation either.
  9. iSkin Pore Perfecting Face Bruch--similar to clarisonic's brush, but the bristles do not move-they vibrate. Still it's a good dupe for those (like me) who are on a budget. This is $30 at Sally's and beats paying $200 for the real thing.
What are your May favorites?

updates...

Hi Everyone! so first off, I will try to get better at blogging... it's been busy and I've been lazy...

10 Pan Challenge Update: I suck. End of story. Okay, but really I obviously cannot complete this challenge without buying other things. I will say that it has made me more conscious of my buying and my using of products. I am finishing my concealer set from Bobbi Brown before I use another concealer. (I did buy Benefit's Erase Paste--I tried it. I hated it. It's going back. Maybe the color is wrong, but I just didn't like it. I'm going to try one of MAC's next.) I switched my foundation sticks because the #2 was starting to be too light due to my hours of working out outside. I am now using up my #2.5 :)

New Products: Sephora had this thing the other day if you bought something, you got a free Dior mascara -- Diorshow Extase. I'm a sucker because there were a few products I had been wanting to try that were limited edition and "at sephora only." So here's what I picked up besides the Dior mascara... Enjoy the process of opening my box:

Free Samples: Too Faced-Shadow Insurance, Lorac-Behind the Scenes Eye Primer, & Boscia-Willow Bark Treatment

For some reason, I was given two extra samples..not going to complain. They are: Smashbox-Photo Finish Light Foundation Primer & DDF-Biomolecular Firming Eye Serum

The Contents: Nars So Famous set & Benefit To Go Beauty Bestsellers set
Diorshow Extase Mascara
NARS so famous (my first Nars products)
Set includes: Deep Throat Blush
Bettina - velvet matte lip pencil (this is the one thing I thought I wouldn't like, but it is SO pretty in person)
The Multiple in Orgasm (yeah, the name is over the top, but this is the cult following blush... this is the whole reason I wanted to try the set--it's a cream blush)
Benefit To Go Beauty Bestsellers
Set Includes: Some Kinda Gorgegous, That Gal, High Beam, and Posie Tint. Set is only $10, products are SMALL, but worth 10 bucks... plus, I can't get this anywhere else...

That is my first Sephora online shopping experience... I must say, it went great! I just need more patience for waiting on my package to arrive : ) I will let you all know what I think about these products after I try them.

I did mention above, I am taking the Benefit Erase Paste back, and I will probably take the Dr. Feelgood back as well. I am not sure if I am meant to use Dr. Feelgood... it does feel and smell good, but I think it is breaking my face out. I bought this to wear on top of my makeup to keep it matte all day long. I think I bought it with the wrong intentions, because it really didn't keep me matte like I thought it would... I can't keep it just to set in the tin and smell good.

As for my recent MAC purchases.... LOVE IT!!!! I have done purple eyes a couple times and I always get complements : )

Alright... hopefully this has been a good update for the few readers I do have. Please leave comments and suggestions. Let me know if there is anything you need a review on or a how-to you are looking for! : ) Enjoy the weather!

Hi!

Hi! I'm pinkpaisley12! and I'm addicted to make-up and beauty products!

This is my first blog entry, please tell me what you think of my site so far. I will be uploading some youtube videos by the end of the week. Topics include: MAC make-up haul, top favs of the moment, and my first trip to sephora (second, but this is the first time I actually bought something).

My beauty project inspiration comes from being bored with my makeup and looking for something new. I started searching the web and found a lot of tutorials and blogs online, so I set out to create my own. I really decided that I HAD to do this after my trip to the MAC counter. Scott made me look so beautiful. My mom said she had never seen my eyes like that before.

So, here's to entering the online beauty world.

[Please note: I bought all of these products myself. I am not a make-up artist. All reviews are my opinion only. Thanks!]
